Serenity Beads. Serenity Beads contain a 12 primary beads, one for each step in the process of your recovery. It has been said they also represent the 12 disciples. Not counted is the larger bead which represents Creator / God / The Eternal / Spirit / Higher Power and also the interval beads which allude to the potential of the emptiness, usually they are placed between every 3 steps (a trinity). These are understood to allow the out-flowing focus to become receptive and in-flowing, after prayer an contemplation at these points, you make it possible to integrate and access what some call the “empty space between words” and others term the Divine; it is the most sacred space that cannot be defined. When I make these I am in a meditative state; from this place of harmony I transfer loving energy into each bead as I bring them together to create the finished piece.
